Staff at a bar on the Lincolnshire coast have issued a warning to football fans following an incident during the latest England match. Pubs and bars across the country are seeing a rise in customers thanks to England's progress in the Euro 2024 tournament - but football and alcohol can sometimes lead to trouble.

Three Monkeys is a bar on North Parade in Skegness and welcomes big crowds to watch the football inside the venue. After England's dramatic penalty shootout win against Switzerland on Saturday, July 6, the bar issued a statement warning people about their behaviour.

The statement read: "We have viewed the CCTV footage of the England game last night. Please be assured, we will not tolerate the few fans that decided to smash glasses and generally make a nuisance of themselves.

"You will now be refused entry to the bars for future games. You will be aware of who you are, so to avoid embarrassment please do not try to enter.

"All staff have been informed and you will be refused service and escorted out of the premises. We aim to keep a safe and friendly environment as the first choice for viewing sports. Let's all enjoy the rest of the tournament."

The Three Monkeys bar will be showing the England vs Netherlands semi-final match on Wednesday, July 10. The other semi-final takes place on Tuesday, July 9 between France and Spain.
