This skilled dog runs down the stairs using only its two front legs

This perfectly-able, but skilled dog runs down the stairs - using only its two front legs.

Four-year-old pointer pup Maddi has four fully functioning limbs, but prefers to conduct a balancing act on two, or sometimes three, instead.

Kelly Krutsch, 37, has had Maddie since she was a puppy, and quickly discovered her unusual talent.

Kelly, from Chicago, Illinois, who is currently unemployed, said: "Nothing is wrong with her. She just doesn't like to use all four legs. I guess she finds the fourth leg just gets in the way.

"By the time she was one, it was very clear Maddi would only run down the stairs using two or three legs.

"Whenever she goes into water, snow, grass, you name it, she's propped up."

Maddi is one of two German shorthaired pointers in this suburban household.

But her sister Sophie, who is nearly three, doesn't share the same quirky style of movement.

Kelly added: "I haven't seen Sophie run like that at all. Maddi is the leader of the pack and she's full of energy."

Maddi's crazy running highlights can be seen on her Instagram, pointerpawprints.
