Sky is handing TV customers freebie in November to solve major headache

Sky customers are set to receive a FREE ad-skipping from today - as well as a bonus premium channel for four months. Sky customers can get free ad skipping added onto Sky Glass and Sky Stream as part of a major boost before Christmas.

Ad skipping usually costs £5 per month but you can get it free for four months at the moment. Sky is also offering four months of free UHD, as well as access to Sky Kids. The trio are available from now until December 3, the tech provider says.

You'll be able to fast forward up to x30 speed. When watching Sky programmes, use voice control to skip a number of minutes. Just say “Hello Sky, skip X minutes” near your Sky Glass TV or while pressing and holding the Voice button on your Sky remote. Or press the Right button on your Sky remote to fast forward. Press it again to speed up, or press and hold to move to a particular part of a show.

Always immediately following the US Thanksgiving Holiday, the official date for Black Friday this year is on Friday 29 November 2024. While Black Friday falls on Friday 29 November this year, Sky says: "We like to get into the spirit a little early – so keep your eyes peeled for some amazing deals.
