Sleek new 360-foot megayacht concept has domed 'eye'

Designers have unveiled renderings of a superyacht concept featuring a large 'glass eye'.

Zion, by India-based studio Bhushan Powar Design, is replete with sleek, flowing lines that create a distinctive silhouette sure to stand out on the high seas.

The fledgling firm, which was established in 2019 and claims to be India's first luxury yacht design studio, said the Zion was actually inspired by the mysterious yet beautiful phenomenon of the black hole.

Acting as a viewing gallery for guests, the 'eye' feature provides guests with 360-degree views of the ocean while resembling a large sea creature from an outside glance.

Speaking about Zion's otherworldly looks, designer Bhushan Powar said: "The yacht takes inspiration from a 'Black Hole'. It should attract the eyes with its modern elegance."

While the main visual attraction of Zion is the glass viewing gallery, its inside is filled with amenities. An owner's suite is located on the main deck, with electrically operated sky lounge balconies on either side. The main deck features an open dining space, illuminated by the glass bottom of the infinity swimming pool on the concept's aft deck.

Elsewhere, Zion's lower deck stores a large garage that houses a selection of tenders, Jet Skis and other water toys. A dedicated gym and open garden space can be found on the lower deck, while the area can be transformed into a sunbathing lounge through foldout terraces on either side. A total of 20 guests can be housed in luxury staterooms, with room for over 20 crew members.
