The slogan tee the fashion girls were wearing during London Fashion Week

Gucci's distressed logo. Vetements' DHL design. Dior's We Should All Be Feminists slogan. Every season there is a T-shirt that stands out from the rest.

If the street style from fashion month Spring/Summer 2019 is anything to go by, there's a new 'it' top on the scene.

From Christopher Kane's Autumn/Winter 2018 collection entitled Joy of Sex, like many of the beloved tees before it, this one is adorned with a simple slogan: "More Joy".

During his London Fashion Week AW18 show back in February, the subtle 'More Joy' tee was joined on the catwalk by ones brazenly stating 'Sex', as well as dresses detailed with hand drawn images of intimate acts.

The style set has been snapped styling the simple black tee in several ways this fashion month.

Julia Restoin Roitfeld dressed the tee up by pairing it with a lace-up skirt by Alexandre Vauthier and towering heels during London Fashion Week - the perfect day-to-night ensemble.

Meanwhile, off-duty models have proved that the oversized style can be thrown on with pretty much anything and still look cool. They've been spotted out and about layering the top over midi skirts or as part of a classic all-black look, proving the T-shirt's versatility.

The best part about the statement top? It won't break the bank.

In contrast to last year's £370 price tag for a Gucci t-shirt, Christopher Kane's cotton shirt retails for more justifiable £175.

Though not cheap, if you break it down on a cost-per-wear basis, it will practically pay for itself.
