'Slow Down, Buddy': Bison Has Leisurely Scratch Against Speed-Limit Sign

A regular visitor to Yellowstone National Park spotted a bison using a speed-limit sign as a scratching post, sharing the footage to Facebook on November 1 with the caption “slow down, buddy.”

The footage was captured by Cindy Shaffer, a Montana native who regularly posts videos from visits to Yellowstone National Park and the nearby Grand Teton National Park.

Shaffer shared this video on the same day as a number of photographs tagged as being taken in Lamar Valley, where bison are often found. Credit: Cindy Shaffer via Storyful
