The following article contains allegations of sexual misconduct that some readers may find distressing.

Sylvester Stallone is "categorically" denying recently-resurfaced allegations that he once pressured a teenage girl for sex in the 1980s.

The Academy Award winner is responding to the Daily Mail publishing an unearthed Las Vegas police report filed in July 1986, in which a 16-year-old girl alleged that Stallone and his then-bodyguard Michael de Luca "intimidated" her into having sex.

Stallone was 40 years old and married to Brigitte Nielsen at the time of the alleged encounter, which was placed time-wise during the period where he was filming Over the Top in Las Vegas.

In a statement to Digital Spy, Stallone's spokesperson denied that the actor was ever questioned by the Nevada law enforcement authorities who compiled the original 1986 police report.

"This is a ridiculous, categorically false story," his representative told us. "No one was ever aware of this story until it was published today, including Mr. Stallone.

"At no time was Mr. Stallone ever contacted by any authorities or anyone else regarding this matter."

The police report obtained by the Mail does state that Stallone never faced charges or arrest on these claims because the 16-year-old girl chose not to cooperate with investigators.

Stallone's one-time bodyguard Michael de Luca, himself a former boxer, has since passed away, having been shot and killed by police in a roadway standoff back in 2013.
