Evacuation orders were issued in central California’s Mariposa County as the River wildfire reached 4,000 acres on July 11, fire officials said.
More than 250 firefighters have been deployed to battle the blaze, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
Cal Fire Deputy Chief Jonathan Cox said on July 12 that the fire was still 4,000 acres, and was five percent contained.
