'Smoke Devil' Spins Near Grass Fire in Southeast Colorado

A “smoke devil” fueled by gusty winds and a nearby fire spun into formation in Bent County, Colorado, on Wednesday, March 10, officials said.

The Colorado State Patrol said Highway 50 was temporarily closed on Wednesday due to smoke from the grass fire, which was burning between Las Animas and Hasty.
