Smokey skies settled over Portland, Oregon, on Saturday, September 10, as the National Weather Service (NWS) said smoke from the Cedar Creek Fire was spreading over parts of Oregon.
According to official reports, the Cedar Creek Fire was 85,926 acres and zero percent contained on Sunday, September 11. Officials said that the fire grew by over 32,000 acres over the weekend due to undesirable weather and ground conditions, including strong easterly winds and dry fuels.
