Smoke rises after bus smashes into pavement in southern China

Smoke rose into the air after an out-of-control bus smashed into the pavement in southern China. The video, shot in the city of Liuzhou in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on August 20, shows an out-of-control bus smashing through the central reservation, bumping into a car before crashing into a shop. Thick white smoke then rose into the air as passengers got off the bus and used extinguishers to spray the wheels to prevent them from catching fire. According to reports, the bus wheel rubbed with the ground causing the smoke. Five passengers on the bus, two people in the car and one passenger were sent to hospital for a checkup. Two out of eight people had minor injures. The case is under further investigation. The video was provided by local media with permission.
