Smoke Rises From Cape Town Parliament Building as Fire Reignites

A fire broke out on the roof of South Africa’s Parliament in Cape Town on January 3, a day after a fire damaged the building.

Footage posted to Twitter on Monday shows smoke and flames pouring from the building.

A fire department spokesman told News24 that the “void beneath the roof sheeting” was on fire on Monday evening.

Six fire engines and 34 firefighters were dispatched to the scene, News24 said.
