Smoke From Sand Fire Cloaks Mountains in Santa Clarita, California
A brushfire burning in the hills above Santa Clarita spread to more than 33,000 acres on Monday. Nearly 3,000 firefighters have been deployed to fight the spread of the Sand Fire, which erupted on Friday. The brush fire has destroyed at least 18 structures and forced the mandatory evacuation of around 10,000 homes in the area north of Los Angeles.
