A wildfire burning in the northern Minnesota wilderness grew to over 750 acres by Monday morning, August 23, officials said.
Footage shared by Krystal Oeth shows smoke swirling atop Lake One at the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) in Minnesota on Sunday, August 22.
The Superior National Forest announced the closure of the BWCAW “due to extreme drought, limited resources, and a very active fire season.”
