Snake Catcher Called to Remove Mating Brown Tree Snakes From Air Con

A snake catcher was called to a home on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland to free a pair of mating brown tree snakes from the family’s air conditioner.

Snake catcher Stuart McKenzie, the director of operations at Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7, had worked with the family before, removing a single brown tree snake from their air con. This time, however, they had double trouble.

“I headed over straight away and was able to get the larger one out, but unfortunately the smaller one snuck through the barriers I created and got back into the walls of the house,” McKenzie recounted in a Facebook caption.

“The family is going to fill up the hole with expander foam so that this stops happening. Snakes getting into aircons does actually happen every now and then and they can be tough to get out,” he added. Credit: Stuart McKenzie via Storyful
