Snake escapes from rescue team and hides in their car

This is the moment a wild snake escaped from a rescue team and hid inside their car. The 4ft-long reptile was caught by the team after it hid on the front porch of a house in Chonburi province, Thailand on June 26. While the reptile was being placed inside a sack near the rescue truck, it cleverly slid away from the volunteer and slithered into the engine. The rescuers spent 40 more minutes before they were able to pull the common rat snake out of their truck as it moved quickly and evaded their catching pole. Rescuer Nuttapol Poonkham, 25, said: ‘To catch the snake this time was so difficult because it was moving so quickly.’ The relieved house owner Jiranuch Thippayangkul, 27, thanked the rescuers who evacuated the clever snake from his property. He said: ‘I found the snake while cleaning my car in front of the house. It came out of nowhere. I tried to chase it away but then it hid under my car so I called the rescuers for help.’
