Nostalgic gamers, are were you ready? That's right, the SNES Mini was finally back in stock today (November 24) – and that lasted a whole three hours.

Arriving just in time to find itself under your tree this festive season, Nintendo's retro gaming console had a bumper delivery for Black Friday.

But at the temptingly reasonable price of £79.99, the Official Nintendo UK Store couldn't handle demand when it briefly stocked the SNES Mini, and it quickly sold out.

This latest version includes a handy USB power adapter that was absent from the first release, increasing the price by £10.

Pre-loaded with 21 classic games, the option to play in HD, and two controllers for multiplayer, the SNES Mini offers countless hours of Goomba-stomping and Yoshi-riding just a button press away.

First released in 1990, the SNES was heralded as one of the best gaming consoles of all time. Reinventing the "classic" version, the more portable "mini" hit shelves in September 2017.

For those who haven't read our glowing review, the SNES Mini is well worth shelling out for if you get the chance. Giving Nintendo fans a sweet taste of gaming nostalgia, you can replay classics like Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country and (of course) Mario Kart.

Nintendo doesn't really do Black Friday deals, but the gaming supergiant tried to give us all an early Christmas present this time by stocking up on the SNES Mini – unfortunately, they didn't order quite enough.

However, there are lots of other gaming deals still going this Black Friday, which you can find here.
