Snoop Dogg to Commentate Your Call of Duty Matches

Have you ever played a few hours of "Call of Duty: Ghosts" and thought, "Man, this game could use more Snoop Dogg"? Your prayers will soon be answered. Developer Infinity Ward has announced the Snoop Dogg voice pack, which will inject some California Love into your multiplayer fragging sessions when it releases Apr. 22 for $2.99.

With the Snoop Dogg Voice Pack active, the game's default multiplayer announcer will be replaced by the legendary d-o-double-g himself. In the midst of a heated firefight, you'll get to hear Snoop spit lines like "Rack up points by reaching the enemy portal, ya dig?" and our favorite, "Homie is out the joint, it's party time!"

"What interested me most about the project is that my voice could be connected with a game that's so hip," said Snoop in the official announcement video. "It's associated with greatness."

Snoop Dogg isn't the only celeb lending his voice to "Call of Duty." You'll also be able to buy a $2.99 voice pack for R. Lee Ermey, the former real-life drill instructor known for his military roles in films like "Full Metal Jacket" and "Toy Story." Additionally, Apr. 22 will mark the release of a handful of $1.99 personalization packs, including the not-so-subtle "Blunt Force" pack that turns your weapons and camo rather green.

All of this downloadable content will be available on Xbox One and Xbox 360 next week, with other platforms to follow.

We gave "Call of Duty: Ghosts" 2.5 out of 5 stars in our review, praising the game's robust multiplayer and playable combat dog (not Dogg) while shunning its somewhat dull campaign. Snoop Dogg claims that "9 out of 10 rappers" play the game, though we have yet to find scientific evidence to back that up.
