Snow Blankets Parts of Netherlands as European Cold Snap Continues

Snow blanketed parts of the Netherlands on April 7 as a cold snap continued to disrupt spring weather across western Europe.

This video from Twitter user @maurits1 shows the wintry scene in the town of Valkenburg. “I didn’t know I had booked a mini ski holiday in South Limburg,” he joked.

Dutch media reported that almost 20 centimeters of snow was reported on Vaalserberg, which at a height of 322.4 meters (1,058 ft) is the highest point in mainland Netherlands. Credit: @maurits1 via Storyful
