Snow Falls in Sierra Nevada Mountains

The National Weather Service (NWS) reported a “wet and cool start to November” as “widespread precipitation” hit the Sierra Nevada mountains on Tuesday, November 1.

Video posted by the UC Berkeley Central Sierra Snow Lab, which they said was filmed on Tuesday in Soda Springs, shows snowflakes falling in the mountains.

The NWS issued a winter storm warning until Wednesday, saying that up to 18 inches (457 mm) of snow may fall at elevations above 7,000 feet (2,133 m). Credit: UC Berkeley Central Sierra Snow Lab via Storyful
