Snowboarders Shred on Olympia Streets as Winter Storms Continue

Some residents of Olympia, Washington, made the most of continued snowfall on February 11 by riding their snowboards down the west end of Bigelow Avenue on the east side of the city.

Self-described “weather nerd” Tony Sermonti shared this footage showing one such snowboarder riding down the residential street.

The National Weather Service said two inches of fresh snow had fallen on Olympia by 11:15am, local time. Schools, parks, and many roads were closed, and state committee hearings were cancelled due to the weather in Olympia. Credit: Tony Sermonti via Storyful
