Snowfall fans, good news – the show has been renewed for a new season.
The FX crime drama, which is currently in the middle of its fourth outing, will be back for a fifth season.
Snowfall follows the 1980s US cocaine epidemic, with the current season chronicling the height of the problem in the middle of the decade as the war on drugs intensifies.
"Snowfall has come into its own as one of the best dramas on TV," said Eric Schrier, president of FX Entertainment. "Its quality and audience growth is a remarkable achievement for a show in its fourth season.
"This series owes its excellence to the amazing team behind Snowfall, its co-creator John Singleton and co-creator/showrunner Dave Andron and executive producers Walter Mosley, Leonard Chang and Tommy Schlamme. Damson Idris and our entire cast continue to deliver outstanding performances every episode."
The renewal news comes after star Angela Lewis recently expressed hopes that a new season would happen in an exclusive chat with Digital Spy.
The Aunt Louie actress said: "I hope so. People are loving the show and the more people watch, the more likely it is that we'll have a season five."
She added: "I just hope that we keep growing and growing. And now that the show is on Hulu as well, that just brings in more viewers, so we got a good shot. I'm fingers crossed."
Snowfall also stars Damson Idris, Carter Hudson, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Michael Hyatt and Amin Joseph.
