WHEN it snowed in 2009, It was the most Dorset residents had seen in 18 years and they weren’t prepared to waste a second of it.

Children and bigger children – their parents – across took the day to get out in the white stuff and have some fun.

Thousands of snowmen sprang up, including arty affairs shaped onto park benches to barley recognisable heaps with carrots sticking out of them.

The roads were chaos but people managed to carve themselves some fun and make the most out of the situation.
