Snowplows Arrive to Dig Out Stranded Newfoundland Motorists

Heavy snow and rain hit Newfoundland and Labrador on Wednesday, February 19, the Weather Network reported, causing a number of traffic problems across the province.

Environment Canada issued several weather warnings for rainfall, extreme cold, and blowing snow in parts of Newfoundland.

Drivers were encouraged to avoid any nonessential travel.
