Snowy weekend for Glasgow as 29-hour weather warning issued
Glaswegians are being told to expect heavy snow this weekend after a yellow weather warning was issued for parts of the city.
The Met Office has issued a snow and ice warning covering nearly the entire of Scotland with forecasters predicting between 5-10cm of the white stuff is to fall between Saturday and Sunday, November 23.
The warning is in place for Argyll and Bute, Ayrshire, East Dunbartonshire, Renfrewshire, Inverclyde, Lanarkshire and West Dunbartonshire.

While much of Glasgow is expected to avoid the worst of the weather with maps showing a horseshoe around the city - some areas are expected to be affected by the chilly weather front.
The Met Office is also warning of a small chance of power cuts and a slight chance rural communities could be cut off. There is a small chance air and rail travel could be cancelled, as well as travel delays with some stranded vehicles and passengers.

There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings
Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services
Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
There is a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life
There is a small chance of travel delays on roads with some stranded vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel
