BBC One's soap did not air on Thursday or Friday following the news of the Queen's death, and on Monday included a special scene marking the huge historical moment that likened it to Britain "losing its nan".

Episodes this week will be available on BBC iPlayer at 7.30pm each evening and also on BBC One.

Of course, the soap will not air on Monday, the day of the funeral, but will then return on Tuesday, 20 September and again on Wednesday.

Fans can look forward to a double bill on Thursday, 22 September when two episodes will air from 7.30pm, catching viewers up on the week's schedule.

ITV is currently releasing its schedules day by day with some very late changes to programme times, so soap fans will need to keep a keen eye out for announcements.

Monday's scheduled Corrie episode aired on Wednesday, while the hour-long Wednesday episode has been moved to Thursday at 9pm.

It will form part of a soaps catch-up marathon that takes the place of Thursday's cancelled National Television Awards, which have been moved to 13 October.

The episode scheduled for Friday, 16 September will air on Sunday, 18 September at 7pm, immediately before the national silence at 7.55pm.

Corrie then returns on Tuesday, 20 September at 8pm with the episode originally scheduled for the day of the funeral.

Emmerdale

Also subject to ITV's changing schedules is Emmerdale which has had its air time moved about quite a bit over recent days.

The Dales-set soap was originally due to air at 8.05pm on Tuesday, but has been bumped back to the later time of 8.35pm.

On Wednesday, viewers tuned in at 7.30pm to see the episode that was originally due to air on Monday.

Thursday's cancelled NTAs has offered ITV the chance to show soaps fans the episodes they have missed, with three Emmerdale episodes (originally due to air on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) airing back-to-back from 7.30pm, immediately followed by Corrie's Wednesday episode.

On Friday, Emmerdale fans will get another double bill of the soap as it catches up the week's schedule by airing Thursday's episode at 8pm, immediately followed by Friday's at 8.30pm.

The second episode originally scheduled for Friday will air on Sunday, 18 September at 6.30pm.

The episode that should have shown on Monday but has been cancelled for the funeral will then air on Tuesday, 20 September at 7pm, immediately followed by the Tuesday episode as planned.
