Socialists Protest Iran Conflict Outside Chuck Schumer's Park Slope Building

Activists chanted “fight the rich, not their wars,” and other slogans on January 3 at a protest organized by the New York chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America outside the Park Slope apartment of Senator Chuck Schumer.

The protesters were calling on the Senate to take a stand on the issue. The demonstration came a day after the killing of top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani by a US strike in Baghdad.

Democratic presidential candidates were among the voices denouncing US President Donald Trump’s decision to order the strike.
