Soft Cell to reunite for one-off London show

Soft Cell have announced their first UK show in 15 years, the band reuniting for a one-off special concert touted as their “only and last ever show”.

Titled ‘Say Hello, Wave Goodbye’, the London O2 Arena show will see singer Marc Almond and instrumentalist Dave Ball celebrate their 40th anniversary as a duo.

Almond said in a statement: “With Soft Cell I always felt something was unfinished. This last ever final show will be the best ever ending. It will be a real statement and send off, and thank you to every fan.”

Ball added: "We live in very interesting times, and 2018 promises to be a very special year”.

Soft Cell formed in the 1980s, going on to produce five albums and the number one single “Tainted Love” and number two single “Torch”.

The band will play the London O2 Arena on the 30 September, 2018. Tickets will be available from the 26 February.
