Solihull house could become residential children's home under new plans
People are being given the chance to have their say on plans to convert a Solihull house into a residential children's home. The plans for the home in Westbourne Road, Olton, have been submitted to Solihull Council by applicant Shayne Flaherty.
The property is currently used as a dwelling but the application is for it to be converted into a residential care home - described as a “small scale residential children's home”. Images included with the application show the plans for a staff office, lounge and kitchen on the ground floor; three childrens rooms and two staff bedrooms on the first floor and a games room on the second floor.
The application was submitted to the authority in July. A consultation is now underway, running until September 30. No comments from the consultation are currently showing on the council’s website.
