Solihull police CCTV appeal after Spar worker thrown against wall in vicious attack

Police issued a CCTV image of a man officers would like to identify after a shopkeeper was slammed against a wall. The attack happened at a Spar store in Solihull on Thursday, October 17.

Police said the victim was pushed against the wall and had money thrown at him. Cigarettes and other items were stolen following the assault.

West Midlands Police today, Tuesday, November 12, issued a CCTV image of a man the force would like to speak to following the attack. He was pictured with short dark hair and a beard.

He was wearing a black jacket and appeared to be on the phone in a shop. A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "Recognise this man?

"We want to speak to him after a shop worker was assaulted at a Spar Store in Solihull on October 17. The shopworker had money thrown at him and was pushed into a wall. Cigarettes and other items were also stolen.

"If you recognise him or have any information, please get in touch quoting crime reference number 20/939657/24." Information can also be given anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
