With Bonfire Night just around the corner there are already a number of events confirmed in Somerset.

Businesses and communities across the county are holding their own events, which include entertainment, activities and even live music. Some of the events are free, with most welcoming families and children of all ages.

Food such as hog roast, pizza, burgers and hot dogs are being served at many of the events, with a select few also offering fair rides and even a silent disco. Here's a list of 24 firework displays and bonfires happening in Somerset in 2024.

Bath Rotary Club, Fireworks at the Rec

Where: The Recreation Ground, William Street/Pultney Bridge, Bath, BA2 4DS

When: Saturday, November 2

Time: 4.30pm

Price: Tickets can only be bought online. Adults £9.38, Child (5-16 years) £5.04, Children under 5 go free.

About: Food and beverage concessions will be on site via card payment only. No sparklers or any other fireworks will be allowed on site. There is no parking available.

Fireworks at Sea, Grand Pier, Weston super Mare

Where: Marine Parade, Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, BS23 1AL

When: Friday October 25

Time: 6.30pm – 9:00pm

Price: £13.99 – £21.99 (plus, tickets with dining options). Standard Tickets are £13.99 including entry and unlimited rides, including Go Karts

Weston super Mare Cricket Club Fireworks and Bonfire Night Event

Where: Devonshire Road, Weston super Mare, BS23 4NY

When: Saturday November 2

Time: 5.30pm - 11pm

Price: Family from £22, adult (over 16) from £9.00, Child (under 16) £5, Under 3s FREE (no ticket required). Book online, any remaining tickets sold on the night but has been a sell-out in previous years.

About: Enjoy a fantastic display provided by Firestorm Pyro FX plus a bonfire in a safe family friendly environment with plenty of space on the large outfield to enjoy the evening. There will be a food and refreshments stall including a Hog Roast and Pizza, plus inside and an outside bar and mini funfair.

The bonfire will be lit at 6.45 pm with fireworks starting at 7.30pm.

Yatton Schools Fireworks 2024

Where: Yatton Rugby FC, North End, Yatton, North Somerset, BS49 4AR

When: Friday November 8

Time: 5.30pm - 9pm

Price: Advance online tickets are cheaper at £7 for an individual ticket and £20 for a Family Ticket (2 adults & up to 4 children under 18) Advance tickets are only available to buy before 1pm on November 5. On the night tickets are £8 for an individual ticket and £25 for a family ticket (2 adults & up to 4 children under 18). Cash only.

About: There will be plenty of burgers, hot dogs and chips with hot and cold drinks, including Baileys hot chocolate. There will also be sweets, toffee apples and glow toys. There will be a covered viewing area as well as an indoor bar and seating if it isn’t dry.

The fireworks start at 6.45pm and there is limited free parking nearby.

Banwell F.C. Spooktacular Halloween Party, Fireworks and Bonfire Night Events

Where: Banwell Football Club, Riverside, Banwell, North Somerset, BS29 6EE

When: Saturday October 26

Time: 4pm - 10pm

Price: £3.50/person; £12/family of 4 must be booked online

The bonfire will be lit at 7pm with fireworks commencing at 7.45pm. People are encouraged to join the staff in wearing spooky Halloween costumes.

Puxton Park Fireworks Extravaganza 2024

Where: Cowslip Lane, Hewish, BS24 6AH

When: Saturday November 9

Time: 5pm - 9pm

Price: £15 each per ticket. Children under 2 are FREE

About: The event will have rides, attractions and soft-play as well as a hog roast and BBQ. Fireworks will commence at 7pm.

Nailsea and Backwell RFC Fireworks Night 2024

Where: Nailsea & Backwell Rugby Club, North Somerset, BS48 4BY

When: Saturday November 2.

Time: gates open at 5.30pm

Price: £5/person (age 5+), £18/Family of 4.

About: Fireworks begin at 7.30pm.

Fireworks to Music at Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park

Where: Pixash Lane, Bath Road, Keynsham, BS31 1TP

When: November 8 and 9

Time: 5pm - 9pm

Price: Advance booking essential. £10.00/person. Car Parking ticket £5.00.

About: Fireworks with music spectacular is back with a bang with pyrotechnics and special effects from Aardvark FX. The event will have food and drink stalls and fun fair rides (taking card payments only). There will not be a bonfire but fireworks will commence at around 7pm.

Night of Colours Fireworks, Bath Race Course

Where: Bath Racecourse, Lansdown, Bath, BA1 9BU

When: Friday November 1

Time: 5pm - 9pm.

Price: £9.00/Advanced admission adult; Early Bird Child £6; Kids age 0-3 years FREE

About: The gates and fairground open at 5pm, with fireworks commencing at 7.30pm. There will be entertainment, a funfair, cafés and bars which will stay open until 9pm.

Face painters, stilt-walkers and fire jugglers will also be in attendance. the event will also have free parking.

Clutton PFTA Fireworks Evening and Bonfire Night Event

Where: Clutton Social Club, Venus Lane, Clutton, BANES, BS39 5SP / (Bonfire) Church Farm, Clutton, BANES, BS39 5SG

When: Sunday November 3

Time: 4pm start

Price: Early Bird Adult £5, Early Bird Child £4; Full price Adult £6, Full Price Child £5, Under 3’s FREE.

About: There will be burgers and hot dogs on sale, along with drinks, sweets, glow in the dark face painting, tattoos, merchandise and more. There will be pre-celebrations at 4pm at the Social Club to allow anyone who doesn’t like fireworks to still be involved.

At 6pm there will be anilluminated walk with torches and glow sticks to Church Farm where the bonfire will be lit and fireworks will start after dark.

Bonfire Night Event at Oake Manor Golf Club

Where: Oake Manor Golf Club, Oake, Somerset, TA4 1BA

When: Saturday November 2

Time: 5pm – 9pm

Price: Car price – £25; Arrive on foot £7 for adults and £5 for children (aged 5 – 16). Tickets must be bought in advance, can’t be bought on the gate.

About: Fireworks from Firestorm Pyrotechnics will start at 6.30pm with people being able to watch from the undercover viewing area, followed by a free disco. Hog roast, hotdogs, burgers and chips will be served from 5.pm

Paulton Rovers Firework Display and Family Disco

Where: Paulton Rovers Football Club Ltd, Winterfield Road, Paulton, BS39 7RF

When: Saturday November 2

About: The fireworks at 7.30pm will be followed by a Halloween Disco in the Francis Suite. There’s food and drink on sale.

Mendip & District Round Table Fireworks Spectacular 2024

The bonfire will be lit at 7pm. No sparklers or fireworks can be brought into this event.

Martock Fireworks Display

Where: Stoke Road Recreational Ground, Martock, Somerset

When: Sunday November 3

About: Fireworks will commence at 7pm.

Mary Elton School's 'Fireworks on the Hill', Clevedon

Where: Clevedon Cricket Club, Esmond Grove, Clevedon, North Somerset, BS21 7HW

When: Saturday October 26

Time: From 5.30pm

Price: Single ticket £7.55 (inc. booking fee); Family ticket of 4 £25.87 (inc. booking fee).

About: There are two displays, a reduced noise display at 6.30pm and a main display at 7pm. There will be food available and the Cricket Club will have drinks at the bar.

SILENT Fireworks Display and Disco, Allerford

Where: The Allerford Inn, Allerford, Norton Fitzwarren, TA4 1AL

When: Tuesday November 5

Time: 5pm - 10pm

Price: £22.38/Adult; £11.55/Child (inc. booking fee).

About: The event in Allerford will have a SILENT fireworks display and disco. People are encouraged to come dressed in their scariest, funniest, or most creative costume. A hot buffet is included in the ticket price of the event.

Food is served from 6.30pm with fireworks at around 8pm

Chew Valley RFC Firework Night 2024

Where: Chew Valley Rugby Club, Chew Lane, Chew Stoke, BS40 8UE

When: Friday November 1

Time: 6pm - late

Price: Adults: £9.50, Under 16s: £6, Family Pass: £28. (Gate prices: Adult £10, U16s £7 & Family £30)

Enjoy delicious hot food, refreshing drinks, and a full bar!

About: After gates open at 6pm a live band will be performing from 6.30pm with fireworks lighting up the sky at 7pm. A DJ will then take over from 7.30pm until late. There will also be food and drinks available.

Bridgwater Grand Firework Display 2024

Where: St Matthew’s Field, Bridgwater

When: Friday November 1

Time: 3pm start

Price: FREE (£7 for on site car park)

About: This is one of the largest displays in the South West, with the added attraction of family fairground rides for everyone to enjoy. The fairground will be open between 3pm and 9.30pm with fireworks starting at 7.30pm.

Fireworks Night at Doubletree By Hilton Cadbury House, Congresbury

Where: DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House, Frost Hill, Congresbury, North Somerset, BS49 5AD

When: Friday November 1

Time: from 5.30pm

Price: Admission: £8 for adult members, £9 for non-members, £5 for children (3–16) members, £6 for non-members, and free for children under 3.

About: Alongside a fireworks display is a BBQ, fairground stalls and rides, plus live music from Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Dennis DeMille. Live music starts at 6pm with fireworks commencing at 7.30pm.

Fireworks and Bonfire Night Event in Frome

Where: Critchill Manor Estate, Frome, Somerset, BA11 4LJ

When: Sunday November 3

Time: from 4.30pm

Price: £21.68/Car

About: Following last years success, the fireworks and bonfire night event is taking place again this year. There’s also a Guy Fawkes competition with a prize for the winning Guy Fawkes. All Guy Fawkes will be put on the bonfire before it is lit.

There’s a BBQ and hot and cold drinks available to purchase. Guy Fawkes competition entries must arrive before 5.30pm as the bonfire is being lit at 6pm. Fireworks commence from 6.30pm.

Chard RFC Fireworks Display

Where: Chard RFC, Essex Close, Chard, Somerset, TA20 1RH

When: Friday November 1

Time: from 6pm

Price: Online: Adults £8; Child £6.50. On the door: Adults £10, Child £7.50

About: Doors open at 6pm with fireworks starting at 7pm. There will also be live music from The Seatrees at 8pm, a pancake pod, outside bar and a BBQ.

Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Illuminated Carnival 2024

Where: 1.7 mile route (See Map Route)

When: Saturday November 2

Time: 6pm - 7.45pm

Price: FREE

About: Roads close from 4 pm with the procession starting at 6pm. The procession has the reputation for being Europe’s largest illuminated carnival parade, and the oldest UK carnival.

After the carnival procession finishes there is a unique firework display held on the High Street called "squibbing". Squibbing is something very unique to Bridgwater and is the simultaneous firing of lots of large fireworks (“squibs”).

In the region of 150 “Squibbers” are involved, typically members of the Carnival clubs. The Squibbers line the Bridgwater High Street (in a line of two wide) and all light their squibs at the same time. The effect is bright light being fired into the air along the road in one great long trail of fire.

The Squibbing Display is programmed to commence 30 minutes after the last procession entry crosses the finish line.

Burnham-on-Sea Grand Fireworks Display

Where: The Esplanade, Burnham on Sea

When: Sunday November 3

Price: FREE

About: Burnham-On-Sea’s seafront fireworks display will be seen for miles around Bridgwater Bay. The display will be fired by Skyburst, the winners of The British Firework Championships, to a musical accompaniment. The fireworks will kick off Burnham’s carnival weekend – the carnival will be held on Monday, November 4.

The Rotary Club will be collecting donations on the night for local charities.
