Somerset Funeral Notices as heartfelt tributes paid to loved ones

Heartfelt messages have been paid to 41 much-loved Somerset locals in the latest funeral and death notices this week. Tributes have been paid to much-loved family members and those who have tragically had their lives cut short.

In total 34 death notices were placed into the funeral notices section of SomersetLive’s sister print titles, for those people who either lived in the city, or had links to it and have died recently.

The messages, placed between November 16 to November 22 provide comfort to the loved ones of those either lost or being celebrated. There were also three in memoriam messages for loved ones no longer with us and four acknowledgements.

Kenneth (Ken) Thomas Francis passed away peacefully on November 15, 2024. Ken was born on May 4, 1943 in beautiful Bath, England to Doris (née Hall) and Albert Francis. Ken owned & operated Golden West Security in Tucson, Arizona (USA) for many years, followed by a successful home watch business with his loving wife of 20 years, Beverly (Bev). He is survived by Bev & her family, son Paul and his wife Jennifer, daughter Laura, grandchildren Joshua, Destini, Max, Gavin, & Lorenzo, & nephew Roger Taylor. His parents, sister Audrey, and ex-wife Grace predeceased him. Ken will be remembered for his love of English soccer, Arizona Wildcats basketball, and the American Southwest. He was interesting and interested and a good friend to all those who crossed his path. Join us in celebrating Ken’s remarkable life by raising a pint, as no formal service will be held.
