Somerset pub with delicious grub secures prestigious Good Food Award

A quintessential Somerset pub has been crowned a 2024/25 Good Food Award Winner, earning the prestigious Blue Ribbon for Delicious Dishes.

The Lethbridge Arms, located in Gore Square, Bishops Lydeard, Taunton, boasts an authentic Thai restaurant that has become a culinary gem in Somerset, ranking first among Thai restaurants in the county and within the top five eateries in Taunton on TripAdvisor

In the latest November Good Food Awards announcement, the Lethbridge Arms was lauded by judges as a "must visit restaurant", further solidifying its reputation for exceptional cuisine with the awarding of the Blue Ribbon for Delicious Dishes.

It has garnered over 500 five-star reviews and celebrated a 5* food hygiene rating in May. Patrons can indulge in a variety of exquisite Thai dishes, with the Pad Thai being a particular crowd-pleaser, all meticulously prepared by chef Amy Gratton to suit each diner's taste for spice.

The Lethbridge Arms also features a "lovely" beer garden for al fresco dining and offers private overnight accommodation, including six cosy letting rooms for guests looking to extend their stay.

"The whole team love working with Amy and are so happy to serve, eat and talk about her food. You love her, we love her and now she’s getting the recognition she deserves."

The Good Food Awards, which have been commending the diverse culinary talents across the UK since 2002, recognise the dedication of teams striving for top-notch gastronomy.
