Eight years of plotting went into this son’s Christmas plan to get back at his prankster dad.
Eight years ago, when a YouTube user known as FPSGamer turned 16, his dad gave him what he thought was an Xbox 360.
But when he opened the package, he found not a games console but an Xbox box filled with an assortment of gifts that eventually led to a key to the real birthday present, his first car.
“I was elated and very grateful for the car,” he wrote on YouTube, “but until I saw it I was still a little disappointed that the box did not hold an Xbox. When presented with the car, I went to the trunk to see if the Xbox had been placed there.”
It hadn’t. There was no Xbox. Still, a car’s a pretty good alternative, right?
But the prank smarted. So, eight years later, he and his brothers decided to take revenge.
This Christmas, they presented their car-mad dad with an Xbox One - or so he thought.
Just like eight years ago, the Xbox box was filled not with a games console but with an assortment of clues that eventually led the prankster dad to the boot of a car where the real Xbox was hidden.
Sweet, sweet revenge.
