Sophie Turner breaks silence following divorce from Joe Jonas
Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner has shared a statement following her split from husband Joe Jonas.
The actress shared an Instagram post on Wednesday (September 6) with a "statement from the two of us", a day after Jonas filed divorce papers at a Miami courthouse.
"After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to end our marriage," began the statement.

"There are many speculative narratives as to why but, this is truly a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children."
In documents seen and reported by E! Online, the Jonas Brothers singer stated that "the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken" in the official filing.
Jonas has also reportedly asked for "shared parental responsibility" with Turner and said a "parenting plan should be established" for their 3-year-old daughter Willa and their 14-month-old daughter, whose initials are only listed in the filing.

The publication alleges that Jonas has also asked the court to uphold their pre-nuptial agreement from April 2019.
The pair officially tied the knot in May of the same year, with a "quickie" Las Vegas ceremony officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator. The ceremony took place shortly after the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, which both had attended.
Jonas and Turner then held a star-studded ceremony a month later in the south of France, attended by family, close friends and showbiz pals.
In July 2020, the couple welcomed their first child together, a daughter called Willa.
A sibling for Willa arrived in July last year – another daughter, whose name has not been publicly shared by Turner or Jonas.
