The Game of Thrones star was photographed sporting the trend on Memorial Day while perusing the Santa Barbara coast. According to the Daily Mail, Turner spent the beach day with her husband, Joe Jonas, and their dog.
For the excursion, Turner wore a pair of tiny shorts and a revealing T-shirt. To complete the outfit, she rocked a pair of knee-high socks with white slides. Basically, she just updated her iconic socks-with-sandals look.
Page Six previously criticized Turner's style, suggesting that she was trying to make the controversial trend of wearing socks with sandals happen. According to Just Jared, Turner hit back in a since-deleted tweet, writing, "Nah we've all been taking out the trash like this for years and you know it. I'm not trying to make anything happen other than giving my feet some much needed TLC."
In February, Us Weekly reported that Turner was pregnant with her first child. Just Jared Jr. also confirmed the news, with a source telling the site, "The couple is keeping things very hush hush but their friends and family are super excited for them... Sophie has decidedly been choosing outfits to wear on and off the carpet to accommodate her changing body."
