Sort Your Life Out star gives health update as she details holiday nightmare
Sort Your Life Out star Dilly Carter has updated her fans on her health and her holiday disaster, which left her and her family stranded abroad. While Dilly did not reveal where she went on holiday, only telling her followers it was hot and posting sunny pictures, she was left stranded there and had to book an extra night in the hotel.
Dilly was enjoying her holiday with her husband Charley Carter and their daughter when their British Airways flight home was cancelled at the last minute. Posting to Instagram, Dilly said: "Trying to keep this calm relaxed vibe even though @british_airways cancelled our flight after we checked in and then put us on a flight tomorrow when Charley has to fly to America and school starts again.
"How are they allowed to leave people stranded like this? This is also not the first time they have done this to us. New flights booked another night in a hotel..... first world problems but extra money you didn't want to spend! Such a shame to end the trip like that." Want less ads? Once home, Dilly explained that she also burnt her lips while on holiday. She said: "Look at me, I'm back in England and I'm in my skims tracksuit, which is cosy and I've got a hot water bottle under it. I mean pathetic, isn't it? How pathetic! It was so lovely and hot, it was literally like 27 degrees every day, well it felt like 27 degrees I think it was 23, 24, but it was hot.
"I burnt my lips and they've only just gone down. I had horrible blisters on my lips, they were so big. I looked like I'd had some sort of fillers, they were horrendous. What I've learnt from that is that I will never get fillers because it just doesn't suit me, having a big bottom lip is not the look I want to go for."
Dilly has recently returned to Sort Your Life Out after she was diagnosed with womb cancer in April, 2023. She spoke about her cancer on World Cancer Day in February, 2024. You can keep up to date with the latest TV and showbiz news by signing up to the newsletter here.
She said: “Cancer changed my life forever. It changes a whole family's life forever. Not only did it take away my ability to have children again it has affected my daily life forever from the way I eat to the amount of time I can spend on my feet.
“The scars and the daily side effects are just the physical reminders. The mental effects are with you forever. No matter how much you try to ignore it and carry on. You will carry that weight around forever. What it did not do however is take my life."
