South African Police Rescue Family From Waist-High Floodwaters

At least 70 residents of Ladysmith, South Africa, were evacuated on January 17, after heavy rainfall caused flooding.

This footage by local journalist Claudine Senekal shows the authorities rescuing a family with an infant from waist-high floodwaters. According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), search and rescue teams have responded to multiple calls in the area.
