South Carolina Beaches Battered by Rough Surf as Hurricane Ian Hits

The National Hurricane Center reported that the center of Hurricane Ian was about to make landfall in South Carolina on Friday afternoon, September 30.

The NWS issued several alerts for the area, including flash-flood warnings and tornado watches as the hurricane approached.
