South Norwood murder: Three men now charged after south London incident

Two more men have been charged in a murder investigation after the discovery of a body in south London.

Police officers were called at around 5.30am on Sunday after a man in his forties was found unresponsive on Station Road, South Norwood.

London Ambulance Service responded, but the unnamed man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Vijay Pethuru was arrested by Metropolitan Police on Thursday and has become the third to be charged with murder. He is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.

Also on Thursday, Darren Parchment was charged with murder and has been remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Monday.

Previously, Agash Jeyanandam was arrested on Monday, was charged on Tuesday and will now likely stand trial sometime in July 2023.
