The following article contains allegations of sexual misconduct that some readers may find distressing.

Kevin Spacey is reportedly at the centre of a new sexual assault investigation in the UK.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Spacey was being investigated by the Metropolitan Police for allegedly performing a sex act on a man against his will back in 2008.

Now, investigators are looking into separate accusations that the 58-year-old actor sexually assaulted a man in Lambeth, London back in 2005.

A Scotland Yard spokesperson didn't directly name Spacey, but did tell People: "On Wednesday, November 1, City of London Police referred an allegation of sexual assault to the Metropolitan Police Service.

"It is alleged a man assaulted another man (Victim 1) in 2008 in Lambeth. On Friday, November 17 a further allegation was made about the same man. The allegations are of sexual assaults against a man (Victim 2) in 2005 in Lambeth. Officers from the Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command are investigating."

It is not known if this case is connected to his former creative partners at the Old Vic theatre announcing last week that it has received 20 personal testimonies of alleged inappropriate behaviour by Spacey during his tenure as artistic director.

Spacey is facing yet more fresh accusations back home in the US, which have led to him being completely cut out of the finished film All the Money in the World.

Also in the wake of these allegations, Netflix has said it will not work on House of Cards if Spacey is still attached to the project, after previously confirming that the series will end with its upcoming sixth season.

A spokesperson for the star said earlier this month that Spacey is currently seeking "evaluation and treatment" away from the spotlight.
