'Spacious' former shop which could become flats fails to sell at auction
A former Leicester shop with planning permission to become flats has failed to sell at auction. The building in Central Road, just off Fosse Road North, has permission to be converted into two flats - a single two-bed apartment and one, one-bed flat.
Auctioneers SDL Property Auctions said the corner property was “spacious” and was “well placed” for access to the city centre. A “small enclosed yard” also sits to the rear of the property.

The lot was offered as a freehold with vacant possession at the SDL National Property Auction on Thursday, November 21. However, with a guide price of £185,000 prior to the auction, it failed to sell.
It is now being offered for £200,000. SDL said there was “scope for other schemes such as mixed use or house of multiple occupancy”, subject to the necessary planning permissions.
