Spain's 'La Tomatina' Festival Returns After Two-Year COVID Hiatus

Spain’s La Tomatina festival returned to the Valencian town of Bunol on Wednesday, August 31, after a two-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 75th edition of the event saw approximately 130 tons of the tomatoes brought in so that around 14,000 people could throw them at each other in one of Bunol’s main squares, El Pais said.
