Yahoo News Spandau Ballet replace singer with Elvis impersonator
With their lead singer Tony Hadley jumping ship to pursue a solo career back in 2017, pop band Spandau Ballet have now officially replaced him.
Enter Ross William Wild.
Just 28 years of age, the new vocalist will join Gary Kemp, Martin Kemp, Steve Norman and John Keeble in the band's line-up.
Ross met the group's bassist Martin when they both appeared in the Million Dollar Quartet stage show.
Fans of the 80's icons will be reeling from the news of potential new music – their classic tracks are truly timeless – but will Ross live up to the inevitably monumental expectations?
During the time that the two artists met each other, the Kemp brother was performing as record producer Sam Philips whilst Ross took on the role of Elvis Presley.
Hadley had been Spandau's towering frontman for decades and chose to announce his exit from the band via social media.
He wrote: "Due to circumstances beyond my control, it is with deep regret that I am required to state that I am no longer a member of the band Spandau Ballet and as such I will not be performing with the band in the future."
The band originally split back in 1989, when their album Heart Like a Sky become embroiled in a court case between Tony Hadley, John Keeble, Steve Norman and Gary Kemp.
However, they later reformed in 2009 and released their seventh album.
