Spanish firefighters battle against flash floods as storms sweep country

Flash floods hit the Spanish town of Alcanar on Wednesday. Firefighters battled to save property and lives from a sudden surge of muddy water. Most of Spain is under alert for heavy rains as storms sweep across the country. More than 9,000 lighting strikes were registered overnight by Spain's national weather service. No casualties have been reported.
