Spanish-style padel courts open in Lincoln offering 'cutting-edge' technology
A new padel tennis facility has opened in Lincoln which promises to "blend the vibrant energy of Spain with cutting-edge sports technology". Vida del Padel, located on Bishops Trade Park, features two full-sized doubles padel courts and a singles court.
The owners welcome both seasoned players and newcomers. Padel is an innovative form of tennis that is fun, easy to learn and very sociable. It is played on an enclosed court about a third the size of a tennis court, with groups of mixed ages and abilities able to play together.
As padel is typically a doubles sport requiring four players to play a game - Vida del Padel in Lincoln will be one of the first facilities in the country to implement a singles court within the facility. The singles court is smaller, easier and perfectly suited to beginners, the younger generation or anyone wanting to learn the sport.

Ross Carlin, co-founder of Vida del Padel, said: "Lincoln’s vibrant community, combined with its growing interest in leisure and sport, makes it the perfect location for us to introduce our unique brand and state-of-the-art padel courts. We believe our mix of two full-sized doubles courts and the UK's first singles padel court will offer an exciting new experience for local players and newcomers alike.
"This marks a huge milestone in the growth of Vida del Padel, and we’re excited to see how the sport continues to flourish in the area."
Vida del Padel also has an events calendar featuring everything from spirited tournaments and event nights to engaging workshops led by instructors.
