Spectacular Lightning Seen on Stormy Evening in New Mexico

Breathtaking scenes of lightning and clouds were captured by a storm chaser near San Jon, New Mexico, as severe thunderstorms were forecast locally on May 30.

Scott Nicholson, who operates the Mobile Weather Office Twitter account, posted footage from what he said was some “fun playing with a couple severe warned storms this evening across northeast New Mexico.”
