Spectacular Lightning Strike Startles UK Construction Crew

A construction worker near Penzance in Cornwall, England, captured the moment on July 19 when a nearby bolt of lightning struck scaffolding with a spectacular effect.

In the video, recorded by Zak Harries, thunder can be heard in the distance for a few seconds before lightning fills the sky.

Exclamations of disbelief and swearing from the workmen ensued when it turned out that the lightning had struck a nearby scaffolding.
