Spectators Raise Cameras as Queen's Cortege Moves Through West London

Londoners by the thousands lined the city’s streets on Monday, September 19, as the funeral procession for Queen Elizabeth II departed Hyde Park Corner and moved toward her final resting place at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, west of London.

This footage shows crowds in Brentford, west London, as the cortege moved along the Great West Road.

Local firefighters formed a line along the road’s edge in tribute to the late monarch and, though the crowd was largely hushed, some were heard cheering and clapping as the state hearse passed by. Many spectators held their phones up, trying to capture videos and photos of the procession on camera. Credit: @HammaadKhaann via Storyful
