Just in case you hadn't heard by now, a Spice Girls reunion of some sort is on the way.

It was back in February that the legendary girl band first announced they had "many exciting possibilities" in the works, after a picture of them together was posted to Emma Bunton's Instagram.

Well, it's now been reported by Variety that the girls may feature in an animated superhero film starring as themselves. The idea is apparently being shopped to potential production partners.

All five Spice Girls have reportedly agreed to their likenesses being used, with each character to be voiced by Posh Spice, Scary Spice, Baby Spice, Sporty Spice and Ginger Spice, who will all have their very own 'girl power'.

Clever, eh?

And if everything goes well, it could be that the movie is turned into a franchise on a global scale.

The Spice Girls' 20th anniversary passed last year without any kind of reunion and so fans had started to give up on a comeback.

Each of them have had a say on what's going on, with Mel C teasing that they're working on an exciting project and Geri hinting that there is a plan, but definitely not a Spice Girls tour.
